Springfield-Based Connelly Plumbing and CMI Mechanical Merge with The Waldinger Corporation
Connelly Plumbing, Heating and Air has operated as a plumbing and HVAC contractor in the southern Missouri market since 1949. CMI Mechanical Contractors has operated the same market since its inception in 1997. The Waldinger Corporation, founded in 1906, is a full-service mechanical and electrical contractor with multiple locations recognized for mission critical and other high-profile projects. Waldinger is the largest round-the-clock, truck-based service provider delivering maintenance and repair services to clients throughout the Midwest.
The Waldinger Corporation and Connelly are known for installing, repairing and maintaining plumbing, heating, ventilating and air conditioning systems in residential commercial, institutional and industrial facilities. With this acquisition, the company now has 1,050 construction tradespeople plus more than 300 service technicians. They have a strong presence in technically demanding service and construction project arenas.
Leaders from each company cite shared values, expanded services to customers and increased opportunity for
employees as key to the acquisition decision. Derek Hileman, Vice President - Waldinger Service Division said, “We are excited to welcome the Connelly teams to Waldinger. We look forward to serving the Springfield market together.” Danny Edwards, President of Connelly and CMI said, “With the additional resources Waldinger brings to the table, we will be able to provide additional opportunities for our staff and our customers long into the future.”
Danny will continue to lead and coach the branch as the General Manager. Danny’s children will also stay on; Matthew Edwards as Service Manager, Brett Edwards as Construction Manager and Kayley Edwards Graves as Project Engineer. All employees and facilities will remain active and part of the expanding operations of The Waldinger Corporation.
